Voter ID Correction 2026: Form 8 ने नाव, पत्ता व इतर तपशील कसे बदलायचे?
Voter ID वर नावाची spelling चुकीची असणे, लग्नानंतर surname बदलणे, राहण्याचा पत्ता बदलणे किंवा electoral roll मधील एखादी माहिती दुरुस्त करणे अशा वेळी पुन्हा नवीन मतदार नोंदणी करण्याऐवजी योग्य correction form वापरणे महत्त्वाचे आहे. Election Commission of India च्या अधिकृत forms यादीत Form 8 हा shifting of residence, correction of entries in existing electoral roll, replacement of EPIC आणि marking of PwD यासाठी दिला आहे.

Form 8 ने कोणती कामे करता येतात?
ECI च्या सध्याच्या Form 8 वर्णनानुसार चार मुख्य प्रकारची विनंती करता येते: residence shifting, electoral roll मधील correction, EPIC replacement आणि PwD marking. त्यामुळे आधीच मतदार यादीत नाव असलेल्या व्यक्तीने स्वतःची गरज कोणत्या category मध्ये येते ते पहिल्यांदा ठरवावे.
1. Address / Residence Shifting
नवीन गाव, शहर, ward किंवा constituency मध्ये कायम राहायला गेल्यानंतर मतदार नोंदणीचा पत्ता बदलण्यासाठी shifting option वापरता येतो. नवीन पत्ता लिहिताना house number, area, village/city, taluka, district, state आणि PIN code अचूक लिहा. Address proof मध्ये असलेली माहिती form मधील address शी शक्य तितकी सुसंगत असावी.
2. Name किंवा इतर तपशील Correction
नाव, surname, relation details, date of birth/age, gender किंवा उपलब्ध correction fields पैकी एखादी माहिती दुरुस्त करायची असल्यास supporting proof नीट तपासा. नाव बदलताना Aadhaar, PAN, passport, marriage-related document किंवा portal मध्ये स्वीकारलेला applicable proof कोणता आहे हे current instruction नुसार ठरवा. एका document वर एक spelling आणि दुसऱ्यावर दुसरी spelling असल्यास आधी कोणती official spelling ठेवायची ते निश्चित करणे चांगले.
3. EPIC Replacement
Voter ID card हरवला, खराब झाला किंवा replacement ची गरज असेल तर Form 8 मधील EPIC replacement option लागू होऊ शकतो. फक्त card हरवल्यामुळे नवीन voter म्हणून Form 6 भरू नका. Existing electoral record कायम ठेवून replacement प्रक्रिया करणे अधिक योग्य आहे.
अर्ज करण्यापूर्वी काय तयार ठेवावे?
- Existing EPIC/Voter ID number उपलब्ध असल्यास लिहून ठेवा.
- नाव आणि Date of Birth supporting documents प्रमाणे तपासा.
- नवीन address पूर्ण आणि PIN code सहित तयार ठेवा.
- Correction साठी लागू supporting document चा स्पष्ट scan/photo ठेवा.
- वापरात असलेला mobile number आणि email उपलब्ध असल्यास तयार ठेवा.
- Upload files blur, crop किंवा unreadable नाहीत याची खात्री करा.
Form 8 भरताना सर्वात सामान्य चुका
नवीन मतदार registration आणि correction यामध्ये गोंधळ करणे ही सामान्य चूक आहे. Existing voter असूनही Form 6 वापरणे टाळा. दुसरी चूक म्हणजे document मधील spelling पेक्षा वेगळे नाव type करणे. तिसरी चूक म्हणजे address proof जुना असताना form मध्ये पूर्णपणे वेगळा address टाकणे. तसेच mobile camera ने काढलेला document फोटो glare मुळे unreadable असल्यास verification मध्ये अडचण येऊ शकते.
Submit केल्यानंतर काय करावे?
Application submit झाल्यानंतर acknowledgement/reference number save करा. Portal वर status tracking उपलब्ध असल्यास त्यातून progress तपासा. Application submit झाला म्हणजे correction त्वरित मंजूर झाली असे नाही. Electoral Registration Officer किंवा संबंधित authority कडून verification होऊ शकते.
Form 6 की Form 8 — कसा निर्णय घ्यावा?
पहिल्यांदाच मतदार यादीत नाव नोंदवायचे असल्यास Form 6 हा registration form आहे. पण तुमचे नाव आधीच electoral roll मध्ये असेल आणि पत्ता, नाव किंवा इतर तपशील बदलायचे असतील तर Form 8 तपासा. Duplicate voter registration टाळणे महत्त्वाचे आहे.

अर्ज आणि forms साठी ECI Voters’ Service Portal वापरा. Current Form 8 ची अधिकृत माहिती Election Commission of India – Download Forms पेजवर उपलब्ध आहे.
अर्ज/सेवा करताना एक practical नियम
Final submit करण्यापूर्वी preview screen किंवा entered details एकदा हळूवार वाचा. नाव, जन्मतारीख, mobile number, document number आणि address मध्ये छोटी typing mistake पुढे correction ची गरज निर्माण करू शकते. शक्य असल्यास acknowledgement किंवा reference number PDF/फोटो स्वरूपात सुरक्षित ठेवा.
वारंवार विचारले जाणारे प्रश्न
Form 8 भरल्यानंतर जुना Voter ID लगेच बंद होतो का?
अर्ज submit झाल्यावर लगेच जुना record delete झाला असे समजू नये. Request संबंधित electoral authority कडून process/verify झाल्यानंतरच updated entry लागू होते. त्यामुळे acknowledgement/reference number जतन करा आणि status approved होईपर्यंत existing details ची नोंद ठेवा.
एकाच वेळी नाव आणि पत्ता दोन्ही दुरुस्त करता येतात का?
Portal/Form 8 मध्ये उपलब्ध correction fields आणि current instructions तपासाव्यात. अनेक बदल मागितल्यास प्रत्येक बदलासाठी supporting proof स्पष्ट असणे महत्त्वाचे आहे. एकाच form मध्ये portal जे options allow करतो तेवढेच निवडा; अंदाजाने unrelated correction जोडू नका.
Voter ID वर फोटो जुना असेल तर काय करावे?
Photo/EPIC replacement किंवा correction संदर्भातील current Form 8 options तपासा. नवीन फोटो upload करायचा असल्यास portal ने सांगितलेला size, format आणि recent frontal-photo requirement पाळा. Heavily edited किंवा blurred फोटो टाळा.
